Our first pharmacy opened in Rutherglen over forty years ago. Since then, we’ve now operate 9 NHS and 1 specialist private pharmacy, and our client base has continued to grow steadily.
Our private LDN Department is a specialist hub of knowledge, experienced in the provision of unlicensed medicines for all sorts of autoimmune and neoplastic disorders. (Click here for more information).
Our pharmacy chain now includes the addition of 4 new stores, acquired since 2019 – Hands pharmacies and Leslie Chemist. These stores have been rebranded and are being modernised.
In 2022 we went live with our Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber – to help the growing population of people with ongoing fatigue after the pandemic. (Find out more here)

The attentive patient service that we’ve become renowned for is still an essential aspect of every service that we provide to local communities. Whether you need online prescription services, private prescriptions, medication management advice or even prescription delivery services (free of charge), we can help.
We have a NHS consultation facility called Pharmacy First Plus, where you can book an appointment online and speak to or see a clinician who can prescribe medicines for many common clinical conditions. Book this here.
Even if you’re just looking for some friendly advice, our staff will be more than happy to help. Simply pick up the phone or drop into your nearest branch and ask a member of staff for more information.
Our pharmacies can also collect your prescriptions from local surgeries and deliver them to your home.

Michael provides Pharmacy First Plus and private prescribing services. Our private prescribing services are provided from our head office 35 Mitchell Arcade, Rutherglen, Glasgow, G73 2LS. They can be contacted at prescriptions@dicksonpharmacy.co.uk .
Other independent prescriber pharmacist locums are used time to time to support our services.
